The local countryside
Walking and Cycling
Each barn includes a handy Ordnance Survey map centred on Harestreet Holidays, perfect for planning your adventures. There are plenty of footpaths and cycle tracks nearby, winding through the gorgeous rolling Hertfordshire countryside. The Roman Road, a track just steps from your front door, is a perfect place to start. Discover stunning circular walks and beautiful views. Your furry friends will love it too!
The quiet country lanes are ideal for cycling enthusiasts – and if you're looking for a good route, those maps can help you get on your way.

Relaxation
Tucked just behind the barns, our peaceful orchard garden is a delightful place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the countryside - you can even spot Cromer Windmill from here. At the right time of year, you are welcome to pick some fruit from the trees.
And of course, each barn has its own private terrace and garden – a lovely sun trap and the perfect spot to unwind with friends and family.
Wander Through Local Flower Fields
Not to be missed in season, the local pick-your-own flower farms are a real treat. Wander through vibrant fields, soak up the scent of fresh blooms, and snap some Instagram-worthy photos along the way. It’s a joyful, hands-on way to get close to nature – and you’ll head home with a bunch of beautiful flowers and a big smile.
Harestreet Sunflowers
Our very own pick-your-own sunflower field bursts into bloom in August, with Cromer Windmill and rolling fields as your backdrop. It’s a truly stunning spot, perfect for photo opportunities, days out with the family or to just treat yourself with a beautiful bouquet.
Enjoy bright blooms, a children’s play area, and a treat from our Harestreet Brew Box coffee shop with outdoor seating area. A truly beautiful place to be and only a short stroll from the holiday barns. You won’t want to miss our Sundowners in the Sunflowers evening events either - a real highlight in the local event calendar! Keep an eye on our sunflowers page for up to date opening hours and times.
