About us

Our Story

 

We’re Owen, Emma, Thomas and Annabelle — a family of four living and working on our 800-acre arable farm in the heart of Hertfordshire.

Back in 2007, after months of travelling, Owen swapped his office job for life on the family farm — much to Emma’s surprise, as she was thriving in London with a busy career! Nearly 20 years later, we haven't looked back.

What began as a leap into the unknown has grown into a rewarding family life. The farm is going strong with crops like wheat and barley, and since 2013 we’ve welcomed guests to stay in our converted holiday barns. In summer, Harestreet Sunflowers, our pick-your-own patch, fills both the field and visitors with sunshine. You’ll also find us serving coffee and treats from The Harestreet Brew Box, our beloved horsebox coffee shop.

Life here is busy, balancing work and family, but we wouldn’t have it any other way — our children are so lucky to grow up with space and freedom and we are proud to continue the legacy of Owen’s family and invite people from all over the globe to enjoy it too.
